Happy Halloween from The Wiese Family!
This year for Halloween we decided to have another theme!! This time mommy dressed up and some friends of ours got Rick a T-shirt to go along with our costumes. My kids have been a book character every year for Halloween, so why stop now!!! Poor kids, I guess that is what they get for having a librarian for a mom! This year we decided it would be fun to be The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2. The kids have been really into the Dr. Seuss books and also The Cat in the Hat show on PBS. So what better costumes to have this year.
What a fun Halloween we had. Caleb and Emma did a great job being Thing 1 and 2. They got a tons of compliments on their outfits. They really did look cute! Even I got told how "CUTE" I looked as The Cat in the Hat. We went to our church for the annual Truck or Treat. The kids enjoyed getting candy from the cars, playing games in the church and eating yum soups and cookies inside.
The funniest thing happened out by the cars during Trunk or Treating. One of the guys in the church had his trunk decorated with a spider and webs. Then he had candy spread all over the floor of the trunk and a sign telling the kids to pick a piece. So the kids would reach in to get a piece and the spider would jump forward and get their hand. Caleb and Emma were so scared of it! So daddy offered to reach in and get one for them, but they cried and screamed "NOOOOOO!" They were very protective of daddy. So I offered, but they same thing happened. They cried and screamed "NOOOOO!!!" So we would tease them just to see the reaction. Everyone thought it was so cute and sweet that they we so protective of us. Poor kids! Hopefully they will not be to scarred from that!
