Viva Las Vegas
Sunshine, lights, Elvis, show girls, casinos, palm trees, the sounds
of slot machines, shows, Stars, HEAT.....and anything thing else that I am forgetting that you associate with Sin City!
Rick and I had a mini vacation just the two of us...I know I know...shocker!!! We left the kids with the Gates Family and off we went to Las Vegas for a weekend away/wedding of a friend. It was a great trip! Neither one of us had ever been there before. It was worth the wait and are already saying we can't wait to go back!
The day we arrived we checked into the Stratosphere Hotel and wondered around the hotel to see where everything was at. Then we got ready to head to New York New York to meet up with the girls from work for the my friend Lisa's bachelorette party. We decided to leave early and walk the strip from our hotel to New York New York. It was hot and long, but I am so glad that we did! We were able to see so many different spots and people. We saw many interesting characters....the water show....also some Chinese acrobats who were amazing!

When we got to New York New York we had supper at the pizza place there. New York style pizza, oh yum!!! It was so good! Then we met up with the wedding group for the party to begin. We headed to Coyote Ugly first.

We went to MGM and then Rick and I called it a night. We were planning on doing shopping on the Strip the next day before the wedding.
Saturday morning we got up and had breakfast in the hotel then went and bought bus passes for the day and head down the Strip to shop and do some more sight seeing. We had to see the famous Las Vegas sign of course. Then we bought some t-shirts and gift for our family. We also shopped at the M&M Store and the Coca-Cola Store. We went into the Hard Rock Cafe for a quick look then we decided we better head back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding.

After the wedding we hung out with everyone from the wedding on Fremont Street in Old Las Vegas. Lisa and Joe did the zip line over Fremont St. in their wedding outfits. It was so fun to watch! I also got to meet "Elvis" and see a bunch of strange people.
