It has been awhile since I have given an update on Caleb and Emma. So I better get busy and update y'all! My little monkeys are growing so stinking fast, I can hardly keep up with it all! The 31st of January brought Caleb and Emma's 1st birthday. Hard to believe they are one already! Time got away from me some where. HAHA! It has been amazing watching them go from little bitty babies or bulldozing toddlers! I swear the 2 of them together can have their toy box emptied in a 1 minute flat! HAHA!
We had their doctors appointment for their 1 year check up and shots on the 2nd of February. All is good. They are such healthy little kids! I am so fortunate that my twins are healthy.
Caleb Richard Wiese
weight - 26.5 pounds (91 %tile)
height - 31 inches long (86 %tile)
teeth - 8 (going on 9)
Caleb is my sensitive little man. He doesn't like to be scolded and he even cries for Emma when she gets in trouble. He is my smiler and laugher. He is playful and loving. Caleb blows kisses (especially to his little girlfriend, Jessica at day care), gives kisses (on occasion), and waves bye-bye. He is crawling like he is a speed demon, but walking is not happening yet. Although, he does walk around the furniture and is just starting to stand up by himself. Caleb love the Backyardians and music. He love to wrestle already...he is all boy! Cousin Caden came to play and they were wrestling together. Caleb found that hilarious! HAHA! It was so cute to watch.
Caleb is becoming a little bit of a mama's boy. I don't mind it but it makes it hard to do anything, when he feels like he has to be right at my feet or in my arms. I love snuggling with Caleb at night. He is starting to be able to soothe himself a little better. Especially since her discovered his love for tags. Yep, you read right...tags. Mostly the tags on his blankets, stuffed animals or clothes. The silky ones, not so much the paper ones. It is so funny watching him stuck on the tags and put himself to sleep.
I am really glad that he has not lost his baby cheeks yet! I love Caleb's cheeks! I just love to kiss them and he thinks this is also very funny! He sings a long with me at night when we are rocking or I should say tries. It is so sweet!! I love that so much! He also loves to dance to music on the radio and the TV. He loves to play Peek-a Boo, "I'm Going to Get You" (this is where we say, "I'm Going to Get You" then we chase him around the house. He crawls frantically to get away and giggles the entire time!), So-Big (claps for himself after he does it) and the newest High Five!
Caleb is very much a "talker". He talks to us in the car, while eating, in the bath tub, while trying to put himself to sleep and of course playing with us and sister. He likes to watch TV mostly the shows with music. We discovered that while watching Little Einsteins he tries to say "pat, pat, pat" with the kids on the show to get rocket to take off. It comes out "bat", but we know what he means. Plus he does the actions with it and everything! It is so cute!
I sure love my little boy! I can't imagine my life without him.
Emma Renee Wiese
weight - 22.19 pounds (70 %tile)
height - 31 inches long (97 %tile)
teeth - 2 (going on 3)
Emma is my fearless little thinker. She can be such a sneaky little turkey! Her biggest thing right now is to bring us things...anything that she can get her hands on...she thinks that she is pretty smart when she does that! HAHA! She just looks at us like, "Isn't that what you need right now?!" We have to keep all the doors in the house closed so she won't lead Caleb into the rooms and pull everything off every shelf. The 2 of them can create quite the little disaster. HeeHee! But she definitely is the leader of the pack.
It scares me so much that Emma has no fear. Nothing seems to scare her. She will try to do a header off the couch or bed when she is playing with us. And has fallen off the bed twice...still she tries. You would think that that would be enough to scare her out of it...but no! She learned the stairs before she could walk and I said, "Oh Lord help me!" Now she is walking or maybe I should say running! Now I am saying, "Please Lord, don't let her break a bone!" She is a little bulldozer when she walks. She doesn't watch where she's going, she plows through toys, brother, feet...you name it...she has tripped over it! She has had more bruises on her head, face, arms and legs. People are going to think we beat her! SIGH...it's a good thing they can see she is a klutz!
Emma loves to play games too. Peek-a-boo, So-Big and the newest, High Five ,is her favorite. She is even trying to say, "Five" but it comes out "Bive". We say, 'Give me five Emma' and she will give a high five to everyone in the room, at least once...if not more! HAHA! She gets so excited about it. Emma enjoys music too. Her newest dance is turning in a complete circle over and over and over again. She laughs and giggles. Emma enjoys tackling her brother. She will run at him when is is crawling or just standing still and she will tackle him until he is flat on his back or tummy. They both laugh like little crazy people. It is too funny! Then when Caleb finally gets free, Emma will chase him down and do it all over again. They are so fun to watch when they play together.
Emma usually cuddles with daddy at night before bed. Not because she is a daddy's girl, just because Caleb only wants mommy at night. I would like to switch off and on more, but Caleb is going through separation anxiety for mommy. Emma has learned to give kisses, wave bye-bye, blow kisses (not very often), and jibber jabbers when she feels like it. She is much quieter than Caleb as far as talking goes, but if she wants to be loud...watch out!!
Emma is such a little sweetheart! I am so blessed with a daughter like her.
Caleb and Emma love each other so much. They look for each other and try to find each other if the other one is out of sight. They like to hold hands and play with together. And yet, they are okay with having their own time too. They don't mind having seperate rooms, which is good considering their rooms are so small!
What fun it is watching them grow and learn. They are such little explorers, which is great. They are teaching themselves all the time! They figure out stuff that I would have never imagined them figuring out. Sometimes, I cring when they figure out stuff that I don't want them too! HAHA!
Caleb and Emma are definately busy! Rick and I definately go to bed tired! But, oh...it is so worth it!!
