Caleb has decided that one of his new favorite words is "crap". Well, Rick and I had to squash this. Although we do not feel like it is a bad word, we did not want our 3 year old child saying it all the time. So we have started to make sure we were not saying it either. Because where do little ones pick that up...parents, of course. So, we have really started talking to him about not saying that.

One night at supper we were eating and talking when all of a sudden Caleb dropped something on the floor and said, "Oh crap!"

Rick and I both started in on him about how we do not say that word and started listing all the things he could say instead of "crap" After, we went through all of them I looked at him and said, "Okay Caleb, so what word would you like to say?"

He very seriously looked and me, tapped his chin and said, "Ummmm, crap!"

Rick and I just started to laugh...I guess the boy knows what he wants! Sigh...it is a work in progress, although he rarely says it now. So I guess the fact that mommy is saying, "Oh Mylanta!" and dad is being very careful too is helping!
