Caleb and Emma have been going to Sunday school since January. Hard to believe that they are old enough to be in Sunday school! But they are and they are loving it! They like being with their teacher and their friends at church.
Today, in Sunday school they were learning about being thankful. After the lesson Ms. CarlyAnn, their teacher, had some crosses for each of them. Then her and the teen helper sat with each child and wrote down things in the lives that they were thankful for. Then they were going to glue the piece on the cross. Hard concept for a 3 year old to get, but Caleb and Emma definitely got it!
CarlyAnn said that when they were sitting with Emma she made her list; the ABC's, her brother Ryan, home, children (friends), Jesus, mommy and daddy, the sun, her bear and her puppy (stuffed animals) and lastly, Maisey, our cat. Then she sat down with Caleb to make his list; food, Jesus, toys, home, Emma and Ryan, and mommy and daddy. He was short one so CarlyAnn said, "Are you thankful for Maizey, your cat?" To which Caleb answer, "No, she scratch me one time!" So instead of Maizey, he put Woody and Buzz on his cross!
We laughed about this, but like CarlyAnn pointed out that it does show that he understands what thankful means!!!
