Preschool Graduation

I remember the day we brought Caleb and Emma home from the hospital...February 2, 2008, two days after they were born.  We were SO READY!  The house was ready...we had everything we needed.  Rick's thought, "I did one baby...how hard could two be?!"  As the nurses prepared the discharge papers and Rick packed up all the stuff and got the car loaded, I started to have a panic attack.  The reality of take TWO babies home with NO NURSES OR DOCTORS there to tell me what to do, when to do it, and how to do it was freaking me out! The drive home was AWFUL!  There I sat in the back seat, between two car seats.  Between two beautiful, little people that I was now responsible for.  The panic attack grew and grew.  I couldn't breathe right and I cried.  WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO!?  WHY DID I WANT KIDS AGAIN?!  So, everything ready at home turned into the realization that you can NEVER be FULLY prepared for twins!!!  That first year was tough, especially the first 4 or 5 months.  There were times that I was convinced that I was going insane from lack of sleep.

BUT...I lived and so did my kiddos! PRAISE THE LORD!  I have been blessed with such beautiful children who have the sweetest, little spirits and hearts.  I am such a lucky mom!

Today, Caleb and Emma graduated from preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.  How exciting!!!  I truly am excited for them.  I know some moms get all emotional about it, but I am so happy for them.  What a great time!  I am thrilled to see how they will do, what kind of people they are growing into and what life has in store for them!  It is just so hard to believe that they are old enough for Kindergarten.  Where did the time go?

WAY TO GO CALEB AND EMMA!
Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!
