What a fun and busy day we have had!
We had a quiet morning around camp; ate breakfast, played at the park in the campground and got ready for our day out.
The plan was for Todd, Nakita, Mike, Pastor Jim, and Todd's college friend, Roger and myself to go hiking up at Ecola State Park. Dee Ann, Annie, Lexie, Rick and the kids and Ellen were going to play at the beach at the end of the hiking train and wait for us to get back. We headed out on the hike. It was so beautiful! The view was amazing at the top of the cliffs that we were hiking on. Most of the hike was up and down hill. It was a great work out! Plus the weather was hot!! When we got down to the beach we found Dee Ann, Ellen and the girls. But Rick and the kids were up at the truck, because the Caleb and Emma had fallen asleep.
After we were all done hiking we headed to Cannon Beach for lunch at Mo's. HOORAY for more seafood! YUM! Then back to camp to clean up and think about supper.
We made supper then head out for a bike ride down to the bay to look for fire poking sticks. The bike ride was fun! The kids were smiles the whole way! Down at the bay we explored the drift wood looking for poking sticks. The big kids and Roger had races on the driftwood. We had some good laughs as Mike and Roger took some major spills. It was windy and cold when we were down there, but that didn't stop the good time.
Time for camp fire and marshmallows!!! We got settled in around the campfire in our sweat shirts and blankets and of course....S'More fixing!
