After the carousel, we headed to lunch at Dooger's in Seaside. Wonderfully, yummy seafood...can't get enough! Our tummys full, we headed out to the main strip in Seaside to shop and sight see.
We shopped in the Carousel Mall in the big toy story they have there. That place is a kids heaven! Caleb was in love with the big train set in the back of the store. And Emma was really excited about the stuffed animals. They each got to pick out a toy. That was a hard choice for a 2 year old! But finally Emma picked a pink penguin and Caleb picked out a train engine with one car. They were happy as clams to have a new toy. Mommy shopped for t-shirts and sweat shirts for the family, which of course bored the kids to no end! Ha Ha!
One more fun stop for the kids was at the little train ride on the main strip. Caleb and Emma got to ride the train with Annie and Lexie. We told the kids to wave at everyone that went by. Annie, Lexie and Emma did a great job waving. Caleb would wave to us, but that was about it. Caleb wanted to ride again after they were done. We got the interested in going on to the next thing and life was happy again.

One tradition is a group photo at the Seaside turn around over looking the beach and ocean. So we stopped for pictures. We took family pictures along with out group picture.
Our family at Seaside, OR
The Bowerman and Wiese Families
Caleb and Emma started to get a little grouchy during pictures and we decided that it was time for ICE CREAM!!!! Our next stop was a little shop that is set up like an old soda shop. The shop is called Flashbacks. What a great little stop and AMAZING Rootbeer Floats!!! They make their own rootbeer and let me just say one word about it....YUM!!!! It is decorated in 1950 decor. So cute! The owners of the shop were such nice folks and fun to visit with. I highly recommend stopping in there if you are ever in the area.
Me with my boyfriend....Elvis in Flashbacks!!
The floats were great, but Caleb and Emma were ready for a break. So our family left early to head back to camp. Caleb and Emma fell asleep in the truck before we even pulled out of town. They has a nice nap.
That evening we made supper at camp, rode bikes and sat around the camp fire again!! It was a great day with friends. Such a blessing to be able to take a vacation with such wonderful friends!
