This post is going to be short.
It was a rough day. No treatment today, but seemed to be the worst day since I have been here. Grandma slept most of the day. She had two fits of nausea, but no throwing up. I could tell that it was really bothering her. Not to mention that she is having issues with her bowels. That is such a terrible pain for anyone, but it goes with all she is going through.
I helped Grandma into bed at one point. Tucked her in, kissed her cheek and told her how sorry I was that she was suffering so. Couple hours later I checked on her, she was awake, so I crawled in bed with her and just held her hand. Once she got up, she ate some yogurt and toast. That was the most she had eaten since her pancake that morning.
This evening she is perkier. We have been watching the Gaithers and others music on the the RFD channel. She loves the old time country music and the gospel songs.
We are sure hoping that she can go to church tomorrow. What a wonderful Easter gift that would be for her to be in the house of the Lord. Our family is going to have a get together after church tomorrow. I am hoping to get some pictures of my cousins, aunts and uncles and Grandparents. Grandpa feels like it is important to get everyone together, because this very well could be Grandma's last gathering with the family like this. What a great blessing it would be for her to feel GOOD tomorrow!!!
Thank you to all of you that continue to pray for our family and for Grandma. It is greatly appreciated!
Most of my day was spent alone and a little talking with Grandpa, but I am sure tired tonight. It wears on you to worry for those that you love so. Hurts my heart so to see Grandma cry when she is in pain. I wish that I could take it for her! I guess this day was just a reminder that every day is different. Day to day...minute to minute...sometimes second to second. Prayer and grace!
